MARSHALL CHILES
Marshall Chiles started out just like you. He took a stand-up comedy class, sparring with the teacher about the importance of being yourself on stage arguing with him that you only work “clean” if you yourself are “clean.” Marshall seems to have proven himself right because after graduation he went on to be one of the top comedians in Atlanta and one of the biggest businessmen in the comedy game.
He still believes that you should be yourself and that honesty is the best policy, especially when it comes to the art of stand-up comedy. It is this level of self-integrity, plus hard work, that has risen him to the top ranks of the comedy world.
Marshall’s comedy business credits are: owner/operator of The Laughing Skull Lounge in Midtown Atlanta and The Funny Farm Comedy Club in Roswell, GA, plus he is the booker and partner in Morty’s Comedy Joint in Indianapolis, IN; the creator and producer of The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival; has been a professional international comedian
since 2001; with credits of Last Comic Standing and Comedy Central.
He is a guest teacher during your last class expalining the business side of comedy. He tells you
his story and how he looks at comedy, the comedy business, and how to get stage time so you
can get paid to do comedy. This one class is worth the investment in StandUpClasses.com.
For online students he provides you with a PDF document called “The Business Side Of Comedy.” This document will help you understand the big picture and what steps to take in order to eventually be a professional/working comedian.
